Packaging
PONY EXPRESS offers a free company envelope for the dispatch of documents within a city, in Russia, to the CIS and abroad — paper envelopes (23 x 32 cm).
The PONY EXPRESS envelope — is a specially designed water(moisture) proof cardboard envelope for paper enclosures (documents etc) weighing a maximum of weight of 1 kg and having a maximum dimension of 270 mm x 350 mm.
PONY EXPRESS packet — is a strengthened polythene packet for paper enclosures (documents etc) weighing a maximum of 5 kg and having a maximum dimension of 370 mm x 410 mm.
You may use your own packaging material, which should correspond to the nature of the contents in the dispatch and the mode of transport.
Every PONY EXPRESS packing material has a unique code, which can be written in the Security Code graph in the invoice. The PONY EXPRESS employees make sure that the security code of the dispatch and the invoice match during every step of the delivery. This allows to completely eliminate the possibility of unsanctioned repacking and ensures the safety of the dispatch.

Delivery of biological samples
With the relevant attested documents from customs officers, PONY EXPRESS carries out the delivery of bio-medical samples. Delivery is possible in the following temperature ranges: in dry ice (-50 degrees Celsius), cool (in cooled gel from +2 till +8 degrees Celsius), and at room temperature. Delivery is carried out to the major medical centers in Russia and to foreign laboratories. Infected and uninfected samples are accepted for transportation.
The transportation of biological samples out of Russia is allowed only in the presence of documents permitting their export (license or permission from the Ministry of Health).
If the samples of medicines are to be transported inside Russia, it is necessary to provide the airport services with a qualitative certificate (for a biological sample) and a certificate of conformity with a safety passport (for a medicine).
Insurance
PONY EXPRESS offers secure insurance coverage for all financial interests associated with your consignments and shall pay any damages resulting from any accidents or shipping risks during any kind of transportation in export-import operations or shipments within the country.
The Company offers automatic insurance; however, its liability is limited. Any payment for consignments packed in the Company’s envelope or packaging may not exceed 1,500 roubles. For any other consignments sent under the same consignment note and without any higher value declared the liability is limited at 15,000 roubles.
If you intend to insure your consignment and declare its value as specified in the ‘Declared Value’ box of the PONY EXPRESS consignment note (Appendix 4 to PONY EXPRESS Service Guide), you will be charged additional amount of 1% of the declared value (VAT not included). Any declared value may not exceed the actual value.
Any coverage exceeding 300,000 roubles may be considered after completing the ‘Consignment Declared Value Statement’.
For more detailed procedures of declaring consignment values and terms of declared value compensation please refer to ‘PONY EXPRESS Service Guide’ (Appendix 5 to PONY EXPRESS Service Guide).
The Company shall not be held responsible for any loss of items prohibited for shipment (see paragraph 4 in PONY EXPRESS Service Guide) or any other items not declared in consignment note or invoices, as well as for any seizure thereof by public authorities.
In order to facilitate settlement of any disputes related to safety of consignments, the Parties shall sign Acceptance Report upon delivery specifying the state of packaging. You will also be required to present any documents that may be requested by the Company.
Customs clearance
PONY EXPRESS offers for its customers a complete complex of customs services for export and import operations. Our company is entered into the list of express carriers, which allows custom processing of consolidated cargo at Sheremetevo and Domodedovo airports.
PONY EXPRESS has obtained Certificate No. 0094/00 of 16.03.2011 of its registering as a customs representatives, which allows provisioning the customers with the services connected with the custom legalization of cargo of high value and contract cargo.
The personnel of the company are represented by certified specialists who underwent special training and have a custom services expertise. PONY EXPRESS qualified specialists will assist you in solving any questions connected with the cargo custom legalization, will select the Foreign Economic Activity Commodity Classification codes, assist in preparing required documents and execute a freight declaration.
The contract on customs registration is given to customs bodies only in Russian.
